Get help preparing for and connecting to a wide range of jobs across New York City.
Through the Virtual Workforce1 Career Center system, New Yorkers can get one-on-one career help. Services include finding jobs that are a good fit, preparing for interviews, and accessing free training. Services are free and available online or over the phone.
Anyone 18 years or older who is legally authorized to work in the US can use a Workforce1 Career Center.
Specialized services at certain centers are available to those who are veterans or justice-involved.
One-on-one appointments with Workforce1 are scheduled based on your availability within their operating hours, usually Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm.
Workforce1 also hosts weekly group workshops. Schedules vary by borough.
Workforce1 delivers remote and online services through platforms approved by the ADA and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (for example, Zoom for group workshops).
Services are available in 25 languages in addition to English, as well as phone translation if the staff does not speak your preferred language.
